This year exhibition will be held in a new location, the modern Nazarbayev Center. The new location of the exhibition is not accidental, Nazarbayev Center meets all the latest technical requirements, allowing exhibitors to fully present their services and products. The Nazarbayev Center’s downtown location provides easy access for visitors and exhibitors, making the most efficient use of time and resources for business meetings and negotiations.

Companies from Belarus will make a big national stand, also Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Orenburg, Penza and Chelyabinsk regions of the Russian Federation will introduce the audience with novelties of their own production and distribution as a part of the collective stands.

Participation in InterFood Astana is a great opportunity for food industry companies to expand their business and gain access to the Kazakhstan market. Companies will be able to present their products to a wide audience, establish new business contacts and close profitable deals at the exhibition.

The results of last year, according to which 100% of surveyed exhibitors are satisfied with their participation in the exhibition in 2022, as well as continuous interest in the exhibition from both domestic and international exhibitors, show that this expo event is an important event in the world of food industry in the region and has a high reputation in the field of international exhibitions. Participation in InterFood Astana will help increase sales and expand the geography of supply, which will allow businesses to take a more viable position in the market. Also the growth of the exhibition is confirmed by the 100% increase of exhibition area in comparison with 2022 (the exhibition area has doubled), and if we compare the figures with pre-pandemic year of 2019, we can note a 30% increase in the area. Proof of real development of the exhibition is the active interest of regional visitors from Akmola, East Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Pavlodar and Petropavlovsk regions of Kazakhstan. With an increase in the number of exhibitors from 2022 by 30% (from 55 exhibitors to more than 70 exhibitors), a proportional increase in visitors is also expected.

In 2023, geography of the exhibition has expanded, its international composition is represented for the first time by such countries as Armenia and Malaysia. For the first time the plant-manufacturer Yerevan Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory Ararat OJSC will participate with its own stand, without official representatives and dealers. Intercontinental Specialty Fats Sdn Bhd. (“ISF”), a leading producer of specialty palm oils and fats from Malaysia, will also debut its products. ISF makes a full range of cocoa butter alternatives, including cocoa butter equivalents (CBE), cocoa butter replacers (CBR) and cocoa butter substitutes (CBS), filling fats and spreads for the chocolate and confectionery industries.

A regular exhibitor, KRONEN GmbH (Germany), which produces equipment for fruit and vegetable processing, returned to the number of participants after the pandemic.

In addition to the rich pool of exhibitors, a business program will be formed for visitors during the three days of the exhibition, which will include a forum and presentations from exhibitors, practical master classes of cooking and coffee art, tastings of the product lines directly at the stands.

Together with ALE Association of packers of Kazakhstan and ALE Association of recyclers of Kazakhstan there will be the conference “Barriers to increase the collection and processing of secondary raw materials in Kazakhstan”, during which experts-practitioners will discuss recycling issues, prospects, economic and environmental benefits with participation of Ministry of ecology and natural resources, industry associations and leading recycling companies.

Traditionally, there will be a Retail-Distributor Center at the exhibition site which is a specialized platform for meetings of food suppliers with representatives of retail chains and distributors of Kazakhstan. In 2022, more than 150 direct negotiations took place at the Retail Center’s B2B meetings.

Industry experts will hold a business session on “Sustainable Business Development: Production, Leadership, Marketing and Promotion”, where it is planned to discuss adaptation mechanisms in a rapidly changing economic environment, organizational sustainability and motivational leadership in the food industry, innovation as the basis for strategic change, and process optimization in the food industry. Speakers will also discuss the topics of sustainable economic strategies and the choice of strategic alternatives, integration and full production cycle as an effective model of business scaling, creating an image of the enterprise as a catalyst for sustainable development, as well as food safety certification as an opportunity to expand markets.
